What is Booster & What Do They Do?
You're a Booster if you support your student's interest in drama, help out at a show, alter a costume, send in snacks for concessions, paint sets, contribute financially to the program, chaperone an event, and/or do one of a million other things it takes to make a show happen and a department run!
Make it official, come to a monthly Booster Meeting (offered in person and via Zoom) to join the fun!

When your student is in high school and involved in a sport, band, cheer, dance, or drama, it is customary for parents/guardians to get involved to help the program succeed. If your student “does not want you to hang around” kindly remind them that if the adults didn’t help, drama shows would not be able to happen!
Plus, we have plenty of volunteer opportunities that do not involve you being on campus and “invading their space” (see DONATION NEEDS for the many ways to get involved)

We have a Facebook page for event reminders, and the kids run an Instagram account as well. However, the main parent/guardian information will be sent via email.

Our elections are held at the May meeting in Spring Semester and/or shortly after Back to School Night in the Fall Semester for unfilled positions. Officer terms run from July 1 to June 30 the following year. Please note that VUSD policies state VUSD employees may not hold a booster officer position.
Chairpersons
Specialized jobs that do not require electing (unless more than one person is interested in a particular position). For a detailed description of chairperson duties for each task, please email [email protected]. Please note that VUSD policies state VUSD employees may not hold a chair position.
Member At Large
For those who are unable to commit to a specific office/chair, we offer a “Member At Large” option. This applies to any adult helping the department on an as-needed basis. This option is not considered a board member but may vote at any meetings. VUSD employees may be a Member At Large.

- A Signup Genius link will go out via email for donations and event volunteering. Watch for these signups so you can lend a hand, if possible!
